Accessibility Statement

Version v1.0 — 19 April 2026

Lumina Care Therapy is committed to making the Platform accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. This accessibility statement applies to the Lumina Care Therapy web platform accessible at luminacaretherapy.co.uk.

Our Accessibility Goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. We recognise that as a mental health platform serving potentially vulnerable users, accessibility is not merely a legal obligation but a core part of our commitment to inclusive care.

How Accessible Is the Platform?

We know some parts of the Platform are not fully accessible. We are actively working to improve accessibility. Currently known limitations include:

  • Some older page sections may not have full keyboard navigation support
  • Some video content may not have captions or transcripts available
  • Some interactive elements may not have fully descriptive ARIA labels
  • PDF documents available on the Platform may not be fully accessible to screen readers

We are working to address these issues as part of ongoing Platform development. If you encounter an accessibility issue not listed here, please let us know.

Feedback and Contact

If you find any part of the Platform difficult to use due to an accessibility barrier, or if you need information in a different format, please contact us:

We will consider your request and respond within 5 working days. We will aim to provide the information you need in a format that works for you.

Technical Specification

The Platform is built using React (a JavaScript framework) and relies on the following technologies for accessibility:

  • HTML5 semantic markup
  • CSS for layout and styling
  • JavaScript for interactive components
  • WAI-ARIA attributes where applicable for screen reader support

The Platform has been tested with modern web browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge on desktop and mobile devices.

Enforcement

The Equality Act 2010 requires organisations to make reasonable adjustments for disabled users. If you are not happy with how we respond to your accessibility request, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS):

Review and Updates

This accessibility statement was prepared on 19 April 2026 and is reviewed at least annually. We undertake accessibility testing as part of our development process and aim to conduct a formal accessibility audit against WCAG 2.1 AA by end of 2026.

This statement will be updated following any significant Platform update or accessibility audit.
